Thought it might be fun to fill in these questionnaires as I get through my pregnancy. Great for me, Kate (and the babies when they are older?!) to look through and also could be helpful to anyone going through the same thing. Thanks to seagreen788 for the idea!
How far along? 6 weeks. No pic this week as don’t think there is much to see!
Maternity Clothes? None, but my leggings are starting to feel very tight…
Weight Gain? I hope very little, but haven’t weighed myself this week.
Workouts? None and erm, none before pregnancy either. Might try some pregnancy yoga or something in the future though. (Don’t quote me on that…)
Symptoms? Exhaustion and nausea. Oh the nausea… bleugh.
Stretch Marks? None.
Sleep? Had a few terrible nights followed by a few okay ones, but in general bed feels like a place of anxiety at the moment.
Movement? Not yet, but I have read that with twins I will feel it sooner. I can’t wait.
Genders? No idea, but can’t wait to find out!!
What I miss: Being able to do stuff without feeling absolutely shattered. Sushi!
Food cravings? Flapjack, pizza and bagels. My little brother just ate my last bagel this morning and I nearly lost my shit…
Food aversions? So many things…
Labor signs? None, I am hoping I don’t feel these for a long time. I want to keep these babies in there as long as possible!
Emotions: Felt very down last weekend as Doctor had recommended I come off my (very low) does of antidepressants cold turkey. Bad idea as I felt completely awful and was convinced I couldn’t be a Mum let alone carry the baby. Saw my consultant on Thursday who said it’s much safer to stay on the anti depressants as my mental health is more important for the babies at the moment. So since being back on them I’m feeling a bit more human.
Belly button in or out? In.
What I am looking forward to this week? My birthday which is tomorrow! 31 years old.
Milestones? Having our first scan and seeing our little babies safely snuggling in my tummy…and finding out we are having twins of course.
First appointment with kidney/baby doctor which was exciting. Although everything discussed was before we knew we were having two babies so I think things will be very different next time we see them.
Things I wish people knew: We’ve only told select people that we are having twins so I’m really looking forward to making it public in 6 weeks time. I feel bad that my colleagues at work probably think I’m super lazy not coming in to the office much.
